Adding UTM devices

This function is used to add UTM devices to the IPS device management component. You can add only

the UTM devices that are under your management.
Follow these steps:

1.

From the navigation tree of the IPS management component, select Devices under Device
Management to enter the device management page.

2.

Click Add to enter the page for adding UTM devices, as shown in

Figure 120

.

3.

Select the check boxes before the devices you want to add to the IPS management component and

then click Add. The UTM device list page appears, indicating that the devices are successfully
added.

Upgrading signature files

The UTM Manager can automatically detect signature file versions and current status of the UTM devices,

helping you know whether signature files are up-to-date. If detecting that the signature files are not

up-to-date, the UTM Manager allows you to upgrade the signature files of all managed UTM devices

simultaneously.
From the navigation tree of the IPS management component, select Devices under Device Management

to enter the device management page. Select devices, and then click Update Sig to enter the page for
upgrading signature files of the devices, as shown in

Figure 121

.

After signature files are upgraded successfully, the UTM device list page appears.
