Configuring the system name and user password
1. Click Next on the first basic configuration page to enter the username and password configuration
page.

2. Configure the system name and user password as described in Table 6 .

Item Description
Sysname Set the system name. The default system name is H3C.
Modify Current User
Password
Specify whether to change the login password.
To change the password, enter the new password and confirm it.
For versions prior to F3210, the default username and password are both h3c. For
F3210 and later versions, the default username and password are both admin.

Password Encryption
Specify the password encryption method:
• Reversible—The device encrypts user passwords with a reversible encryption
algorithm.
• Irreversible—The device encrypts user passwords with an irreversible encryption
algorithm.
Configuring services
1. Click Next on the username and password configuration page to enter the service management
page.
