Laser safety
The H3C WX3010E wireless switches are Class 1 laser devices.
WARNING!
Do not stare into any fiber port when the wireless switch has power. The
laser light emitted from the optical fiber may hurt your eyes.
• Before you disconnect the fiber connector, execute the shutdown
command in interface view to disable the optical source.
• Install the dust covers to the optical fiber connector to avoid connector
damage by built-up dust.
Examining the installation site
The wireless switch can only be used indoors. To ensure that the wireless
switch works properly and to prolong its service lifetime, the installation
site must meet the following requirements:
• Temperature and humidity
• Cleanness
• Cooling system
• ESD prevention
• EMI
• Lightning protection
Temperature and humidity
Maintain appropriate temperature and humidity in the equipment room.
• Lasting high relative humidity can cause poor insulation, electricity
creepage, mechanical property change of materials, and metal
corrosion.
• Lasting low relative humidity can cause washer contraction and ESD and
bring problems including loose captive screws and circuit failure.
• High temperature can accelerate the aging of insulation materials and
significantly lower the reliability and lifespan of the wireless switch.
