(6) MPU slots
Both MPUs and MPU slots are pink
edged for easy identification.
No MPUs are shipped with the chassis.
Two MPU slots are available on an S12500-X
switch. One MPU can meet the operation
requirements of the switch. For redundancy,
you can install two MPUs.
You can install an MPU in either empty MPU
slot.
(7) Power
receptacles
• Located in the power distribution
box area at the lower part of the
rear panel.
• Receptacle numbers are marked
above or below the receptacles.
An S12510-X AC/S12510-X DC switch
provides eight power module slots: PWR1 to
PWR8.
An S12516-X AC/S12516-X DC switch
provides 12 power module slots on two power
distribution boxes. Each box has six power
module slots numbered PWR1 to PWR6.
Choose power receptacles according to the
slot numbers of the power modules that have
been installed.

NOTE:
The model of a card is LSXM-prefixed on the card package and LSX-prefixed or LSXM-prefixed on the
card panel. For example, LSX1SUP10A1 and LSXM1SUP10A1 identify the same card. When you order
a card, refer to the card by its LSXM-prefixed model.
