MPUs
The switch uses an MPU for control and management. You can install one MPU or two MPUs for
redundancy on the switch. When you install two MPUs for the switch, make sure the two MPUs are the
same model. The S12500-X switch supports type A and type B MPUs, which use different switch software
versions and LPUs, as shown in Table 24 .
