iP380 has built-in software control relay which can be configured to Normal Open (NO) or
Normal Close(NC) to control external device via Remote DTMF digit. Its contact specification
withstands 1 Ampere at 250 Volts external power source. There are two major applications as
follows.
Application 1: Remote control Relay Open/Close via DTMF (such as open door
for Visitor, RESET network server at NOC center, Home Automation control).
Application 2: Activate Siren and Strobe Light when incoming Ring arrives.
1. Built-in Relay contact was derived from two free pairs of LAN port RJ-45 cable. It does not
affect LAN RJ-45 Ethernet operation.
2. Line 1、Line 2、Line 3、Line 6 or RJ-45 LAN port are Ethernet signal lines as above illustration.
These two pairs lines were used as Ethernet operation.
3. Line 4、Line 5 are relay’s one contact (two pins ties together). Line7、Line8 are relay’s another
contact (two pins ties together). These contacts open or close was referred to iP380’s Web
page Setting. They have Normal Open(
Non active state ) or Normal Close( Non active state )
status.
4. Please use the two contacts to connect external devices according to your desire applications.
