IOCDS Gen Requirements for the Local Host
Each channel-to-channel connection supported by the FEP-4600 requires that a single
subchannel address be assigned, using a SCTC definition. Furthermore, if multiple
physical links are to be supported between the FEP-4600 and a remote 3745, then
multiple subchannel definitions will be required, one for each link. Also, if more than one
SSCP is to have a direct connection to the FEP-4600, then a separate subchannel (and
separate SCTC) definition must be made in the gen to accommodate each of the LPARs
supporting the SSCPs. Reference the following definition examples.
