Local Synchronous
Channel Loopback The Local Synchronous Channel LOOPBACK LED is on solid when it
is selected by the Select push-button. When the Local Synchronous
Channel LOOPBACK LED blinks at a fast rate, the T-1 CSU/DSU has
the Channel interface in a bidirectional loopback (see circled loop in
Figure 4-7 .) and was activated locally. When the Local Synchronous
Channel Loopback LED blinks at a slow rate the T-1 CSU/DSU has the
Channel in a bidirectional loopback but was activated by the carrier
provider or the remote unit sending a V.54 command. The color of this
LED is red.
