4. 2 AMB (ambient sensing based on RTD1 and
RTD2 on one or more of the heat tracing cir-
cuits). Refer to Part 8 for additional detail.
5. PIPE + AMB (single ambient sensing based on
RTD1 controlling heater circuit with the second
sensor RTD2 used as a high limiting alarm and
trip sensor). Refer to Part 8 for additional de-
tail.
Press the PROG key at any point to exit for this se-
quence. If left in the program mode, the TCM18 will af-
ter a short wait automatically return to the SCAN mode.

This first display screen allows the programming of the
following parameters on the first RS485 data highway
port:
1. The data highway address (a value between 1
and 247) for the first RS485 port.
2. The communication protocol with the options
being Modbus ASCII (7 bit, 2 stop bit, no parity
format) or Modbus RTU (8 bit, 1 stop bit, no
parity format) for the first port.
3. The communication baud rate with options of
9600, 19200, 38400, and 57600 for the first
port.
Noting the flashing cursor location on this screen,
press the UP or DOWN arrow keys to select any new
option and press ENTER to accept.
The flashing
cursor now moves to the next line where the process
may be repeated.
Press the PROG key at any point to exit for this se-
quence. If left in the program mode, the TCM18 will af-
ter a short wait automatically return to the scan mode.
