2 Safety
Notes
This PrimeTest 350 has been built and tested in
accordance with:
BS EN 61010-1: 2001.
BS EN 61557 part 1, 2, 4 and 10.
To ensure safe operation of the unit, all notes and
warnings in these instructions must be observed at all
times.
This instrument may be used on electrical
circuits which comply to over voltage
category II.
Attention! During Insulation Resistance tests
high voltage levels occur within the
PrimeTest 350.
The tester and all associated cables and
leads must be checked for signs of damage
before equipment is operated.
Never attempt to charge non-rechargeable
cells in the PrimeTest 350.
Always check that the correct NiMH batteries
are fitted before connecting the charger.
Only use the Seaward PT- 01 charger to
charge the batteries in the PrimeTest 350.
Where safe operation of the tester is no longer
possible it should be immediately shut down and
secured to prevent accidental operation.
It must be assumed that safe operation is no longer
possible:
- if the instrument or leads show visible signs of
damage or
- the instrument does not function or
- after long periods of storage under adverse
environmental conditions.
