The first number is the modem type.
The second number is the carrier wait timeout.
The third number is the Instant-on timeout.
The sixth number must be 01.
Verification timeout: 60. (This is located on Page 11 on a SCII)
This should be a minimum of 30, but can also be set to 0 for no timeout.
Console (CONSOLE)
Information on the content of some of the console parameters which affect network operations are listed
below. These are default settings.
Allow hand entry of card data: Yes
Odometer prompt: Enter odometer
Auxiliary number prompt: Enter vehicle #
Mod 10 check on hand entered non-club cards: No
POS asks for odometer on fuel sale: Card encoded
POS asks for auxiliary # on fuel sale: card encoded
POS asks for odometer on merchandise sale: Card encoded
POS asks for auxiliary # on merchandise sale: Card encoded
Reader (READER)
An example of the minimum reader program needed is shown next. Note that the Select pump (type 2) state
must come before the Verification step (type 8). The PIN, Odometer and Veh/Drv# prompts are required if
Fleet cards are to be accepted.
Pin must be set to 6 digits and “Please Wait” must be after select pump.
