8.2 Web Application Firewall Features
The FX Series ADC offers Web Application Firewall capabilities to an enterprise infrastructure. Below is a
discussion of these features and how to configure them in an FX Series ADC:
8.2.1 Buffer Overflow Prevention:
Detection and blockage of overflow attacks which otherwise could lead to malicious code being run on a
server or other unauthorized access. This is an inherent feature of the FX Series ADC - no special
configuration is required. Any buffer overflow detected in an HTTP message will cause an event to be
recorded in the exception log.
