Advanced Screens
The Advanced screens allow you to change some of the default parameters for your SBM1000
adapters and upgrade the adapter firmware when new versions are released from the
manufacturer.
Security Setup
You can use the Advanced Security screen to change your Administrator Security and MoCA
Network Security passwords.
•
Admin Security
The Administrator Security password is only used to log on to the online SBM1000 Web
Admin Interface. It is strongly recommended that you change the factory default admin
security password to prevent unauthorized access to the SBM1000 Web Admin Interface. All
users attempting to access the web admin interface will be prompted to enter the admin
security password.
•
MoCA Network Security
The MoCA Network Security password allows you to control which MoCA devices can join
your home MoCA network. When network security is disabled (default mode), all devices on
your MoCA network must also have network security disabled. If network security is
enabled, then all the devices on your MoCA network must also have network security
enabled with a common password.
