High-Speed Mezzanine Connector Interface
The high-speed mezzanine connector (HSMC) is an Altera-developed
specification, which allows users to expand the functionality of the
development board through the addition of daughter cards (HSMC
cards).
The HSMC interface specification allows for up to eight transceiver
channels, a full SPI 4.2 interface (18 LVDS channels), and SMBus
management signals. The LVDS channels can be used for CMOS
signaling as well as LVDS. Due to limited transceiver resources, four
transceiver channels route to the HSMC interface.
