DAC raw value
DAC raw value
4-
][Funktionsbeschreibung_BA_Konfig Skalier DAC
You can configure each channel so that the raw value is transferred di-
rectly to the DA converter, without calibration or scaling.
4.2.3.2
Hardware calibration
Hardware calibration

][Funktionsbeschreibung_BA_Konfig Skalier HW-Abgleich
Each channel is calibrated ex-works in order to correct component dis-
persion and other influences.
The range is divided so that zero is assigned the value 0 and the end
point is assigned the value 4095
D
(0FFF
H
).

Manufacturer scaling
Manufacturer scaling
4-
][Funktionsbeschreibung_BA_Konfig Skalier Herst. Aus neu
The manufacturer scaling is used to define the offset (zero point com-
pensation) and gain (amplification) of the digital signal.
Manufacturer scaling active (default setting)
Default values for manufacturer scaling:
– Offset (b
1
): 0
– Gain (a
1
): 32
D
(20
H
)
The digital value after manufacturer scaling is calculated using the
following formula:
y = (a
1
/ 256
D
* x) + b
1
or
y = (a
1
/ 100
H
* x) + b
1
Key:
y: Digital value after manufacturer scaling
x: Digital value before manufacturer scaling
a
1
: Gain
b
1
: Offset
a
1
/ 256
D
: Amplification factor
INFORMATION
The default setting for gain (a
1
) means an amplification factor of
0.125 (1/8).
