18.B H2 HUMMER CHARGE COOLER HOSE ROUTING
A. Attach one of the 3/4" formed “S” hoses
to the bottom fitting on the front heat
exchanger. (See Fig. 18.B-b.) Insert a
3/4" hose mender into the open end of
the hose. (See Figs. 18-d, 18-e.)
B. Cut a 90" piece of Ø3/4" hose. Connect
it to the formed hose attached to the
bottom fitting of the heat exchanger and
run it by the front passenger’s side of
the radiator, through the plastic shroud-
ing and into the engine compartment.
C. From the engine compartment, route
the hose along the frame rail down to
the discharge of the water pump.
D. Cut a 47" piece of Ø3/4" hose. Connect
the hose to the upper fitting on the
water reservoir and run the hose along
the frame rail up to the botton fitting on
the surge tank.

E. Use the supplied S-bend molded hose
to connect the remaining straight fitting
on the surge tank to the 90° fitting on
the charge air cooler.
F. Take the supplied 4" x 12" 90° molded
elbow and cut 1-3/4" from the 4.0" end.
Connect the trimmed end to the straight
brass fitting on the charge air cooler.
G. Attach one of the 3/4" formed “S” hoses
to the top fitting on the front heat
exchanger. (See Figs. 18-d, 18-e.)
Insert a 3/4" hose mender. (See Fig.
18.B-b.) into the open end of the hose.

the supplied adel clamps and sheet metal
screws to the frame rail keeping them clear
of heat or any sharp objects. (See Fig. 18.B-
