Expanding the RAID Capacity
The RAID Controller provides a "Capacity Expansion" function, which allows the user to
expand current RAID capacity when new disks are added.
NOTE: The capacity of the newly added disk must be at least the same size or
larger than the existing online disk capacity.
1. Add the new disk to the RAID system.
2. Turn ON the RAID Controller.
3. Press Enter to display the Main Menu.
4. Press ê until the 06 RAID Func menu is displayed, then press Enter.
5. Press ê until the 69 Expand Array menu is displayed, then press Enter.
6. Select from Disk 1-7 to expand for RAID capacity, then press Enter.
7. Select YES to verify expand function.
8. Press Esc to return to the Main Menu.
9. Press ê until the 01 RAID Params menu is displayed, then press Enter.
10. Press ê until the 14 Slice menu is displayed, then press Enter.
11. Press ê until the 142 Slice 1 menu is displayed, then press Enter.
NOTE: The new expand capacity will require a new slice.
12. The LCD will display the new capacity.
