1. Installation Requirements for all Hood Options
To avoid possible damage during lifting, it is recommended that the outside air hood
be installed after the unit has been placed on the roof. The hood should be installed
before the unit is operated.
Locate the instructions that apply to the Model and hood option being installed. Check
the parts against the list provided and follow the instructions to assemble and install
the hood. If there is plastic film on any painted parts, remove it before installing. Instal-
lation on larger sizes requires at least two persons.

Installation should be done by a qualified agency in accordance with these instructions. The
qualified service agency installing this outside air hood is responsible for the installation.
CAUTION: It is recommended that the inlet to the outside air hood NOT be facing
into the prevailing wind.
CAUTION: Do not install an inlet air hood while the unit is operating.
(Important NOTE: Attach
the exhaust hood(s) before
installing the outside air
hood.)
