Follow this procedure to poll another fax machine to receive the document that it is holding. This procedure starts
polling the other fax machine immediately.
1 Open the one-touch speed dialling panel
→ press Function → Polling.

2 Use 4 (–) or e (+) to select 2.POLLING RX → press OK.

3 Dial the other party’s number.

Ex:
• You can specify the destination using regular dialling, one-touch speed dialling, coded speed dialling, or
directory dialling. (
→ p. 4-3)
• If you use regular dialling, make sure you press OK after you dial the number.
• If you are unsure how to enter numbers
→ pp. 2-1, 2-3.
• If you make a mistake, press 4 (–), or press Function
→ Delete to delete the last number. Or press
Function
→ Clear to delete all numbers you entered.
• If you notice that you made a mistake while the machine is dialling the number, press Stop/Reset
→ 4 (–)
for YES to return to the Standby display.
4 Press OK.
• The machine starts polling the other machine.
