Configuration Using the Web Interface
PVLAN Port Configuration
The PVLAN Port Configuration page allows you to configure the port configuration and private VLAN
associations.
Private
VLAN
Type
• None: The VLAN is not included in private VLAN.
• Primary: A primary VLAN contains promiscuous ports that
can communicate with the secondary VLANs.
• Isolated: The member ports of the VLAN are isolated.
• Community: The member ports of the VLAN can communicate
with each other.
Apply
Click Apply to apply the settings.
Note: You must Save the settings ( Page 129 ), if you want to
maintain these settings if the ES8508 is powered off.
Private VLAN Port Configuration Page
PVLAN Port Type
The following options are available:
Normal: Normal ports remain in their original VLAN configuration.
Host: Host ports can be mapped to the secondary VLAN.
Promiscuous: Promiscuous ports can be associated to the primary VLAN.
VLAN ID
After assigning the port type, this displays the available VLAN ID for which the port
can associate.
Private VLAN Association
Secondary VLAN
After the isolated and community VLANs are configured in the Private VLAN
Configuration page, the VLANs belonging to the second VLAN are displayed.
