Storing a telephone channel in normal
memory
© Select the desired memory channel with the MEM
ORY CHANNEL selector.
© Press the PHONE switch.
© Select the desired telephone channel number with the
MEMORY CHANNEL selector.
(When the key is pressed, " R - - " will be dis
played, erasing any previously stored telephone chan
nel number, and turning off the telephone indicator

(Pressing the [
m
] key stores the telephone channel in
formation in the selected memory channel. Either the
key mode or the memory mode may be used for this
operation.)
® Press the PHONE switch to return to the normal fre
quency display.
Any telephone number channel may be entered into any
memory channel location using the above procedures.

© Press the PTT switch.
© Press the PHONE switch to initiate transmission of
the telephone number.
(Pressing the PHONE switch with the telephone indi
cator off will cause an alarm to sound, signifying an
error in operation.
* Conventional 16-key autopatch operation is also possi
ble, as is a combination of automatic dialing and con
ventional dialing. Simply press and hold the PTT bar
when conventional operation is desired.
