Formatting and Validating Matches
Prior to matches being returned in the match collections, they can be formatted and
validated. Setting up formats and validations is done in two stages:
Step 1: Set the properties to run the format or validation script on the search.
Step 2: Write the format and validation scripts.
The following sections describe these steps in more detail. However, as the next steps
discuss editing the script directly, the next section will first look at the script file that
has been created so far.

Select the Script tab (bottom left of the image) to view the script that has been
generated by the interface.

An InitialiseSearchOptions function will have been created; this initializes all
the searches that have been defined so far. If further changes are required,
this function will automatically be updated. The InitialiseSearchOptions
function is called from within the standard Start of Batch (start_batch) script
function. The start_batch function will be created automatically; if the
function already exists, the line to call InitialiseSearchOptions will be
inserted into the current function.
