IA Series-IM_E
z Zero shift input
When external input is input, the current value is shifted by the value set for zero.
5. Analog output scaling (Bank A/B)
With the factory default setting (
dEFLt), the analog output is provided shown
below.
Default value
・
If the clamp function is set to on (see "3. Clamp function setting") and values
are held, the analog output changes according to the displayed value.
・
The output is 0.2 V if measurement cannot be made or an error occurred.
6. Upper limit setting of scaling (Bank A/B)
Sets the upper limit of analog output scaling.
This setting can only be made when "FrEE" is selected in "5. Analog output
scaling (Bank A/B)"
7. Lower limit setting of scaling (Bank A/B)
Sets the lower limit of analog output scaling.
This setting can only be made when "FrEE" is selected in "5. Analog output
scaling (Bank A/B)"
8. Eco display setting
Set this parameter to reduce the consumption current or to stop displaying
specific values.
The main screen switches to eco mode if no operations take place for 30 seconds.
During the eco display, operating either button returns to the normal display.
Output circuit
* The power 0 V (blue line) and voltage output
GND (shielded) are common inside.
Input circuit
Purple line . . . Laser emission stop input
Pink line. . . . . External input function
*
* The external input can be set to one of
the following.
•
Bank switching input
•
Zero shift input
•
Not used
* The minimum input time is 20 ms.
Pressing the [Up] and [Down] arrow buttons simultaneously for at
least three seconds cancels the zero point.
When the zero shift is performed using the external input, if
the power is turned OFF, the previous state before the zero
shift function is restored.

Remedy
Head error
Sensor head is not
connected.
Head cable is broken.
Sensor head is damaged
• Check that the sensor head is
connected.
• Check that the head cable is not broken.
• Check the connection of the head
cable to the connector.
• After checking these points, turn on
the power again.
EEPROM error
Data read/write error
Perform the initial reset (initialization).
Data has been written in
the EEPROM over 1
million times and can no
longer be updated.
If you need to write more data,
replace the amplifier unit.
There is no workpiece or
background within the
measurement distance
range, or no light is
entering the receiver.
Set a workpiece or background in the
distance for detection from the sensor.
Reading exceeds the
measurement distance
range.
Set a workpiece or background in the
distance for detection from the sensor.
Light intensity is saturated.
Tilt the sensor head so that specular
reflection does not enter the sensor.
Troubleshooting
Problem
Cause and solutions
The external input does
not function.
Check the settings for the external input.
"4. External input setting" (page 5)
The current settings can no
longer be determined. The
user wants to return the
unit to the factory defaults.
Perform initial reset (initialization).
