2. Push the hose connection onto the valve (8) and down onto the
inner seal. At the same time, the valve is opened by an internal pin
in the hose connection. When the locking lever is released, it
engages on the valve thread.
3. For flushing, the second valve can be opened with a pen, e.g. the
tip of a ballpoint pen.
NOTICE!
The gas must be supplied very slowly to avoid any turbu-
lence in the grinding bowl or of the material to be ground
when it is inserted.
4. After gassing the sample, remove the hose (7) again. The grinding
bowls are inserted and handled as shown in Ä Chapter 5 ‘Using
the device’ on page 27.
