•When you use the Super Image Stabilizer
Function in the Auto Mode, the shutter speed is
automatically adjusted between 1/50s and
1/125s.
•When you cancel the Super Image Stabilizer
Function in the Manual Mode, the shutter speed
is also reset to 1/50s. However, when cancelling
the Super Image Stabilizer Function after
recording in the Sports or Portrait Mode or after
adjusting the shutter speed, the shutter speed is
not reset to 1/50s.
If you record the following kind of subjects, the
picture stabilizing effect may not be sufficient:
•A subject with horizontal or vertical stripes
•A flat subject
•A dark subject

flashes in the Viewfinder.)
Increase the amount of light.
•A subject under many fluorescent lamps
•A fast-moving subject
•A subject with a flat background

Press either of the [DIGITAL] Buttons
repeatedly until the “ ^ ” Indication is lit.
•This function is especially practical for the following
recording situations:
1. Zooming in on a distant subject.
2. Recording while walking.
3. Recording from inside a moving car.
•The “D.ZOOM” Indication appears, too.

Press either of the [DIGITAL] Buttons
repeatedly until the “
*’ Indication is lit.
•When the “D.ZOOM" Indication is displayed in the
Viewfinder, the subject can be enlarged up to
100 times.
•The zooming speed varies depending on how far the
[W »T] Zoom Lever is pushed toward “W” or T". (The
further it is pushed towards either “W”or “T”, the faster
the zooming speed becomes.)

•Since the strobe pictures are recorded from the digital
image memory, the picture quality may be slightly
inferior to that of normally recorded pictures.
•When recording under fluorescent lamps, the
brightness of the picture may fluctuate.
Press either of the [DIGITAL] Buttons
repeatedly until the “Qi" Indication is lit.

•When using this function, some after-image distortion
may occur.
•The focus must be adjusted manually since the Movie
Camera is automatically switched into the Manual
Focus Mode.
•The Sports Mode or the Portrait Mode will be
cancelled automatically.
