Fax / Tel Auto Switching Mode
When your machine is set to this mode, your machine will switch to document reception or voice
communication automatically.
Setting the Fax / Tel Auto Switching Mode
Change Fax Parameter No. 15 (IN MODE) to 2: Fax / Tel SW. (see page 33) 1

Operation of Fax / Tel Auto Switching Mode

Your machine will answer the call when a call is received, then distinguish whether it is a
voice or fax call.
If it is 8 Fax caii,
O A machine begins to receive the
documents.
if it is a Voice cali,
2b Your machine begins to signal (ringing)
through the machine’s speaker for your
attention, (see Note)
3b Lift fax handset and talk,
or
Lift the handset of the extension phone
and press I STOP I to talk.
