About this Manual
This manual provides instructions on the configuration and operation of the 9145ELB Network
Interface Device (NID) Version 4.01 software. The 9145ELB NID can be managed using the EIA-
232 serial port through a VT100 terminal emulation program, through an Ethernet connection
using Telnet, or by using SNMP.
How this Manual is Organized
This document contains both information and procedures organized in roughly chronological
order. Starting from an introduction to the 9145ELB software, it continues with system
requirements, initial implementation, and ongoing operation.
