7. Disconnect the blood pressure recorder from your computer and place it in the

pouch. The patient wears the recorder for 24 hours.

8. When the patient returns, connect the blood pressure recorder to the computer

again, and read back the measurements.

Enter patient and protocol information

Before you can record an ABP test, you first need to enter patient and protocol information.
This information is saved together with the recording.

You can enter patient and protocol information in the New Ambulatory Blood Pressure
Test
dialog box. This dialog box is displayed:

Immediately when you start a new test with an empty ABP recorder.

After deleting the measurements when you start a new test with an ABP recorder that
was not empty.

To enter patient and protocol information:

1. From the Specialty list, select the specialty of the physician that ordered the test.

2. From the Referring physician list, select the name of the physician that ordered the

test.

3. From the Protocol list, select the protocol that you want to use for the test.

4. Click OK. The ABP module shows that the test is in progress.
