Specifies whether Port 4 is used for RS-232, RS-485, or RS-422 communications. If 485 is
selected, additional prompts are shown to specify half- or full-duplex operation and RS-485
address.

NOTE: RS-485 communications is compatible with

iQUBE

. It can be specified for Port 4,

and for odd numbered expansion ports 5 and higher.

Specifies what data, if any, is streamed from the port.

LFT streams data at the display rate specified by the DSPRATE parameter on the FEATURE
menu (see page 43).

INDUST streams data at the A/D update rate specified by the SMPRATE parameter on the
SCALES menu (see page 28).

4KEYS and KEYPAD stream keypad events to a receiving indicator. KEYPAD transmits all
keypad events; 4KEYS transmits keypresses of the ZERO, GROSS/NET, TARE, and UNITS
keys only.

DISPLAY streams the complete display image to the receiving indicator in local/remote
indicator configurations. See Section 10.5 on page 111 for more information.

NOTE: Streaming is not supported for RS-485 connections.

SOURCE

source_scale

If STREAM is set to a value other than OFF, SOURCE specifies the source scale for data
streamed from the port.

SFMT

format

Specifies the stream format used for the streamed data (SCALE or IND SC scale types). The
default format is the Consolidated Controls format (see Section 10.8 on page 118). See
Section 10.6 on page 112 for information about custom stream formatting.

If STREAM is set to LFT or INDUST, the TOKENS parameter can be used to replace tokens
used in the data stream from the indicator front panel. See Section 10.6 on page 112 for more
information about custom stream formatting.

RS-485 Port Information

DUPLEX

FULL

Specifies whether the RS-485 communications is half- or full-duplex.

ADDRESS

0
0–255

Specifies the decimal indicator address for RS-485 connections. RS-232 communications is
disabled if an address other than zero is specified for this parameter. RS-485 addresses must
be in the range 01–255.
