4.5 Carrier Clocking

4.5.1 Clock source to AMC

The receive clocks of each AMC in the Carrier can be provided by different sources:

• From PLL (8kHz frame-pulse or 19,44MHz)

• From backplane clock

This needs indirect clock configuration that has to be set previously, see example.

• From another AMC in the carrier

The FPGA can route all AMC output clocks (TCLKB or TCLKD) of all four AMC slots to all AMC input clocks
(TCLKA and TCLKC) of all four AMC slots.

IPMI needs preselected connection settings for automatic "matchfinder" (see 4.5.3 Examples), e.g. AMC B1
