7.2.8 kipmi uEFI Shell Command
kipmi
FUNCTION: Read or configure available Board Management Controller parameters
SYNTAX:
kipmi [-?] [-b] [[ ]]
where:
-? show online help (for kipmi or kipmi + option)
-b display output page by page
OPTIONS
fru display FRU data
info show information about the device and firmware
ipmb IPMB bus settings
irq get / set KCS IRQ
mode set IPMI controller mode
net display and change SOL network settings
sel handle system event log
sensor shows sensor related information
raw execute raw IPMI command
rawsendmessage execute rawSendMessage ipmi cmd
PARAMETERS
Most of the above options have their own unique
set of parameters. Use the online help (“-?”) for
more information concerning the available
parameters.
DESCRIPTION: The kipmi command can read event logs or can set the Board
Management Controller IRQ configuration. This shell application can
also be used to issue raw IPMI commands to the Board Management
Controller.
USAGE: Read or configure available Board Management Controller parameters:
COMMAND / RESPONSE:
Shell> kipmi -b fru 0
“kipmi fru” alone returns parameter info or status
Clear all sel entries
kipmi sel clear
Display sel entry number 3 in hex
kipmi sel raw 0x03
Execute raw command. Example: Get selftest results
kipmi raw 0x06 0x00 0x04
