Cream Custard

Coffee-Liqueur Sauce

Usually this custard thickens when chilled to mound when spooned. However, if the

custard is not thick enough after chilling, add 2 teaspoons cornstarch and cook
again in the pitcher.Whenyounextmakecustard, add cornstarch to the ingredients

before cooking. The custard can also be used as a pudding, spooned into individual

tart shells, or served plain or toppedwithfruit.

Serve over soufflés, sweet cookies, or ice cream.

Serve hot with fruit salad, ice cream, or sliced fruit cake.

Servewithgelatin molds, ice cream or fresh fruit salads.

1 cup half and half

2 to 3 tablespoons sugar
2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Put Sauce Whip in pitcher and add cream, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Cover pitcher

with lid and press start button. (The cycle is about 5 minutes.)
When unit shuts off automatically, remove pitcher from base and use a heat resistant

rubber spatula to stir vigorously against bottom of pitcher for about 60 seconds. Use
spatula to pour and scoop custard into a bowl.

Serve hot, warm, or cold; mixture thickens as

it cools. Or, pour custard into 4 to 6 small dessert cups (about ½ cup size). Cover
airtight and chill to serve cold or to store up to 3 days.

2 tablespoons cold strong black coffee

1 tablespoon coffee-flavored liqueuer

complete, scoop into a bowl, add coffee and liqueur, and stir to blend.

2 tablespoons brandy

2-3 tablespoons Froth Au Lait Raspberry Flavored Syrup or sieved raspberry

purée

complete, scoop into a bowl, add raspberry syrup or pur e, and stir to blend.
