Creamy Tomato Sauce
Bechamel Sauce
(about 1 cup)
~ For pasta and rice ~
(about 1 cup)
1 cup half and half or whipping cream
3 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons tomato paste
2 tablespoons Campbell's Condensed Tomato Soup
1 teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon soy sauce
Put Sauce Whip in pitcher. Add cream, flour, tomato paste, tomato soup, onion
powder, and soy sauce.
Hold top of whip and rotate in both directions until it moves easily and distributes the
flour evenly. Cover pitcher with lid and press start button.
When unit shuts off automatically, remove pitcher from base and use a heat resistant
rubber spatula to stir sauce vigorously against the bottom of pitcher for about 30
seconds. Pour and scoop out sauce. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
: Add 2 teaspoons garlic powder, 1 teaspoon dried oregano, 1 teaspoon
dried basil, 2 teaspoons red pepper flakes, and 3 tablespoons red wine (optional) to

golden, 8 to 10minutes.Add nutmeg. Set mixture aside.
Put Sauce Whip in pitcher. Add milk, cream, and flour, cornstarch, or potato starch.
Hold top of whip and rotate in both directions until it moves easily and distributes the
ingredients. Cover pitcher with lid and press the start button.
When the pitcher is warm (about 1 minute), lift from base to stop unit, open lid,
sprinkle cheese into sauce. Return pitcher to base, push whip down, cover with lid,
press start button, and let run until whip is spinning freely.
Variation
Bechamel is a velvety cream sauce. Serve it over poached or sautéed chicken
breasts, savory vegetables, or grilled fish.
