Segment Selection Functions

Procedure
Select a segment
Click the Start point in the graphic display, drag the
mouse to the right to the desired End point, and then
release.
Select the entire file
Double-click anywhere in the graphics display, or
open the Edit menu and select Select All.
Select a segment as
you listen
Play the file. When you hear the sound you want to
use as the Start Point, hold down the^S (Select
Range During Playback) as the passage plays.
Release the button at the end of the desired segment,
and then click (Stop).
Make rough
adjustments to the
selected segment
Hold down the SHIFT key on the keyboard, place the
mouse cursor at the desired location and then click.
Make precise
adjustments to the
selected segment
Click anywhere on the Range Start or Range End
areas (to the left and right ofNwd, respectively).
Then click the up or down arrow to adjust the time
by 1/100th second.

Range Start and Range End marker boxes. These numbers can help you select the same
