Japanese: Show the Disc menu in Japanese.
Others: Language code setting screen appears. The
procedure for setting the language code is the same
as for “Audio Language" setting. Refer to the steps
[5] and g of “Audio Language” setting.
[5] Press o*^RETURN to return to the previous screen or press
SETUP to exit the setup menu.
If the language selected by these settings does not exist on the
disc, then the disc’s default language will be used.
Audio Output Setting
Sets the audio output to be output from the unit according to the
type of audio equipment connected to the unit.
Before setting these items, refer to the “CONNECTiONS” on
page 8.
Digital Stream:
sets the digital output to be output from the optical digital audio
output connector of DVD player.
[TjAt the initial setting screen, select “Audio output setting”
by using
AT.
Then press ENTER.

Down Mix PCM
Select this option if your DVD player is connected via a fiber
optical cable to a digital amplifier which does not have a built-in
Dolby Digital decoder.
DOLBY DIGITAL
Select this option if your DVD player is connected to a Dolby
Digital decoder, or to an amplifier which has a built-in Dolby
Digital decoder, with a digital fiber optical cable.
g Press ENTER.
Your entry is saved.
g Press o*~^RETURN to return to the previous screen or press
SETUP to exit the setup menu.
CAUTION
if the AV ampiifier is not equipped with a DTS decoder,
do not seiect “DOLBY DtGtTAL” in the “Audio Output
Setting” when connecting the AV ampiifier with an opticat
connecting cord.
Merely attempting to play a DVD may cause a high level of
noise which could be harmful to your ears and damage the
speakers. In such a case, be sure to select “Down Mix PCM”.
