Removing and Installing Parts
6 Replace the drive panel (see "Replacing the Drive Panel" on page 105).
7 Replace the computer cover (see "Replacing the Computer Cover" on page 125).
NOTICE:
To connect a network cable, first plug the cable into the network port or device and then plug it into the
computer.
8 Connect the computer and devices to electrical outlets, and turn them on.
Installing a CD/DVD Drive
1 Follow the procedures in "Before You Begin" on page 75.
2 Remove the computer cover (see "Removing the Computer Cover" on page 76).
3 Remove the drive panel (see "Removing the Drive Panel" on page 104).
4 Remove the existing CD/DVD drive, if applicable (see "Removing a CD/DVD Drive" on page 114).
5 Prepare the CD/DVD drive for installation and check the documentation that accompanied the drive
to verify that the drive is configured for your computer.
NOTE:
If you are installing an IDE drive, configure the drive for the cable select setting.
