your computer.

Protecting Your Privacy While Accessing the Internet
Privacy affects how other web pages are able to impact your computer. Each
time you visit a website a certain amount of interaction occurs between the
web page and your computer’s browser.
Sometimes websites display ads that pop up in another window. Sometimes
your visits to a website are tracked by cookies that are placed on your
computer.

Viruses
Viruses are programs that attack your computer, damaging data and system
programs and compromising secure information. These viruses can attach
themselves to files that you download or receive in e-mail attachments.
