Remove the bottom of the base assembly (see

3.

Remove the hard drive (see

4.

Remove the modular drive (see

).


 

5.

Remove the hinge covers (see

Remove the heatsink assembly (see

7.

Remove the display assembly (see

or

8.

Remove the LED cover (see

9.

Remove the keyboard (see

10.

Remove the right speaker grill (see

Remove the palm rest assembly (see

). Do not remove the wireless mini-cards, memory modules, or processor from the

system board.

Remove the modem (see

15.

Remove the RJ-11 modem connector (see

16.

Remove the M2 x 3-mm screw from the I/O card.

 

17.

Pull out the large plastic plug from the I/O card.

 

18.

Remove the I/O card.
