1.0 INTRODUCTION
The products described in this manual are manufactured and/or
distributed by Reliance Electric Industrial Company.
The MultibusrĆcompatible Voltage Analog Input module
(M/N 61C542A) allows you to connect up to 16 singleĆended or eight
differential +10V input signals to AutoMater, AutoMaxr, and DCS
5000 systems. The voltage input signals may be generated from
process control sensors, transmitters, transducers, or drive
controllers.
Bipolar operation has an unscaled range of -4095 to 4095 counts.
Unipolar operation has an unscaled range of 0 to 4095.
The module converts the input signals into digital values which are
then available for application program use. Input circuit calibration is
automatic. Parameters such as alarm limits and number of samples
are userĆconfigurable. Default configuration values are provided at
powerĆup. The module can be used in both local and remote racks.
This manual describes the functions and specifications of the Voltage
Input module M/N 61C542A and earlier. The information in this
manual is applicable to all versions of the module unless noted
otherwise (see Appendix F). This manual also includes installation
and troubleshooting procedures, as well as configuration and
programming information.
