Note: If you are using Windows, you may notice a warning notice bar display during the final
initialization of your WD ShareSpace. The bar warns that the Internet Explorer has blocked an Active
X controller message. This warning disappears on its own, or you can click the X button to the right
of the bar. This warning does not affect setting up your drive.
Accessing WD ShareSpace’s Network Storage Manager
Once you have configured your WD ShareSpace and set up WD ShareSpace’s
Network Storage Manager, you can manage and further configure your unit by
entering the web-based user interface.
Important: You must configure WD ShareSpace before using
WD ShareSpace’s Network Storage Manager. Follow the instructions
under “Configuring WD ShareSpace” on page 87.
Note: Accessing and setting up the WD ShareSpace’s Network Storage Manager are not required
to begin using your WD ShareSpace.
