1 SET ASTRAGAL ON DOOR.
Align astragal to slab which is to be “fixed”.
2 DRILL AND SECURE ASTRAGAL.

NOTE: If deadbolt is used, deadbolt
strike boss should be removed. Press thru back
of astragal or slide to latch position and remove.
NOT
Pre-drill for mounting thru the astragal mounting
holes into the fixed door using 1/8” dia. bit.
For astragal with 17” slide bolts, once the top and
bottom holes have been pre-drilled, install
#10 x 1-1/2” mounting screws. Then loosen the set
screws in the retainers, place flush with the ends,
and re-tighten set screws. Pre-drill remaining holes
and install remaining #10 x 1-1/2” mounting screws.
(Note: upper and lower mounting screws also
secure the bolt spring clip.)
