Parameter setting of the controller
A detailed description concerning parameter setting can be obtained from the
documentation of the controller.
Parameterise a controller in the system as follows:
1. Invert a digital input Ex and link it with the signal DCTRL−CINH (controller inhibit):
Ex = LOW
W controller inhibit is set.
2. Link a digital output Ax with a function block CMPx (comparator) which compares
the value of the DC−bus voltage (MCTRL−DCVOLT) with the reference value
(FCODE472/x).
Recommended switching points EMB9341 and EMB9342:
– Ax = HIGH if DC−bus voltage > mains voltage x
Ö2 + 75 V
– Ax = LOW if DC−bus voltage < mains voltage x
Ö2 + 50 V
– Adapt the hysteresis to your application.
Recommended switching points EMB9343:
– Ax = HIGH if DC−bus voltage > mains voltage x
Ö2 + 100 V
– Ax = LOW if DC−bus voltage < mains voltage x
Ö2 + 50 V
– Adapt the hysteresis to your application.
Behaviour in case of mains failure during the feedback operation
1. The mains fails. The DC−bus voltage increases.
2. Terminal A2 of the regenerative power supply module indicates mains failure
(A2 = LOW):
– All controllers in the system are inhibited via terminal Ex.
– The master control Z4 also inhibits the controllers (terminal 28 = LOW).
The drives are idling to standstill.
3. When the DC−bus voltage reaches the upper comparator threshold (Ax = HIGH), the
feedback operation at the regenerative power supply module will be inhibited
(E1 = HIGH).
4. When the DC−bus voltage has fallen below the lower comparator threshold
(Ax = LOW), the feedback operation is enabled (E1 = LOW).
5. When the mains voltage is applied again (A2 = HIGH), the master control can
deactivate the controller inhibit (terminal 28 = HIGH).
