300. Support Ring
Removal From PAX
Tire - Using Machine
To Hold & Ovalize
Tire
Read and understand the
complete portion of the
removal process prior too
servicing your first tire. This
will help prevent damage to
the tire and wheel.
Refer to the line drawing dia-
gram (page 5) often to under-
stand the sequence of
servicing.
301. To begin the removal of the
support ring from the PAX tire,
position the table top where the
clamps are midpoint of the PAX
roller tool.
302. Position the bottom of the
PAX tire at the edge of the table
top and make sure the large diam-
eter is facing out. Allow the table
clamps to engage the tire tread.
Move the tapered roller down to
intersect the tread.
303. Note that the tapered
roller’s end flange has engaged the
tread toward the back side. This
position should hold the tire in
place.
304. Apply a small amount of
rubber lubricant to the inside bot-
tom sidewall of the small diameter
bead of the tire.
305. Apply a small amount of
rubber lubricant between the 3
o’clock and 9 o’clock position.
306. Push the lower part of the
support ring toward the back of
tire. Insert the regular lift bar over
the support and under the tire; all
the way to the back to the inside
sidewall of the tire directly under-
neath the power roller.
