CHANGE DRUM The drum unit is near the Use the drum unit until

using paper that meets
Brother recommended
paper specifications.

CHECK CASSETTE The paper cassette cover is Close cassette cover or
CHECK CASSETTE #1 open or cassette is not re-install cassette properly.
CHECK CASSETTE #2 installed properly.
CHECK SCAN LOCK The scanner lock is locked. Release the scanner lock
lever. If you see MACHINE
ERROR AF (or AE), stop
operation and call Customer
