Installing crankshaft
• Oil the bearings lightly before inserting the crank-
shaft.
• Install the corresponding bearing caps with the
grooves aligned.

Note:
Bearing caps 1…3 are marked for identification;
bearing caps 4 (thrust bearing) and 5 are not
marked.
• Tighten the bearings in the order shown, starting
from the centre and working outwards.

Tightening torque:
Main bearings .............................................. 50 Nm
