Removing and installing battery

Caution:
Switch off ignition, disconnect and insulate ground
lead!
• Remove Motronic control unit.
• [ABS I] Remove ABS control unit.
• Disconnect positive lead.
• Detach vent hose (1).
• Install in the reverse order of removal.

Note:
First connect positive pole, followed by negative
pole. Coat battery terminals with acid-free grease.
Fit battery vent hose without kinks.
