3.5 Setting for E-mail transmission
Configure the settings to send E-mail in the Administrator Settings screen under Utility.
This section describes how to configure the following functions.
- Sender name
- The E-mail address of the sender
- SMTP server address
- SMTP port number
- SMTP server timeout
- Text insertion
- Subject
- POP BEFORE SMTP
- E-mail mode (Setting only enabled when the FAX Kit FK-510 and the Extended Opertaion Panel
MK-733 are installed)
Tips
- Before starting setting E-mail transmission, contact your network administrator for confirmation of nec-
essary information.
- If you have entered an incorrect character during the configuration process, press the Clear/Stop key
to erase the incorrectly entered character and re-enter.
3.5.1 Registering a sender name

On the Control Panel, press the Utility key.

Press +, to select [ADMIN. MANAGEMENT], then press OK.

Enter the administrator number, then press OK.
% The factory default is [000000].

Press +, to select [E-MAIL SETTING 1], then press OK.

Press +, to select [SENDER NAME], then press OK.

Enter the sender name.
% You can register up to 20 characters as the sender name.

Press OK.
% [ACCEPTED] appears, and the screen returns to the E-mail Setting 1 screen.
