4.7 Address Batch Setting
By reading address information from a text file (tab-delimited), the settings
for address books of multiple users can be collectively specified. Use this
function to consolidate My Address of users in the same group.

Reminder
Address information can be imported using a text file (tab-delimited)
exported with My Address Export. For details, refer to "Exporting My
Address" on page 3-30. To use My Address Export, logging on as a
general user will be required.
4.7.1 Selecting an import file
Clicking [Address Batch Setting] on the "Administrative Setting" menu
displays the Address Batch Setting page. On this page, select the My
Address data file to be used for the address batch setting.
Function Details
Destination To specify settings for address books collectively, select
[Address Book]. To specify settings for a group, select
[Group].
Import File Path Type in the full path to the My Address data file to be used
for the address batch setting. Alternatively, click the
[Browse] button to display the Select File dialog box, and
then specify the file.
File Character Code Select the file character code.
Operation for duplication of Reg-
istration Number Specify whether or not to overwrite the existing data if it has
the same registration number as the data to be used for the
address batch setting.
Encryption Password Type in the password used for file encryption.
Re-enter Encryption Password Type in the above encryption password again.
