b) Rotate the shaft so that the indicator rides on the seal-chamber cover wear-ring surface

for 360°.
If the total indicator reading exceeds 0.006 in. (0.15 mm), determine the cause and
correct it.

8. Check the seal-chamber face runout:

a) Mount a dial indicator on the shaft.
