• Wood has an average emissivity value of (0.86 / plywood or untreated – unfinished
texture)
• Metal has an average emissivity value of (0.46 / galvanized pipe)
• Tile has an average emissivity value of (0.94 / glazed floor tile)
• Brick has an average emissivity value of (0.93 / red brick)
• Plaster has an average emissivity value of (0.67 / gypsum wall board)
• Concrete has an average emissivity value of (0.95 / dry-cured concrete)
• Touch Quick Pick icon to automatically select that emissivity level / touch emissivity
button again to lock in selection.
• Icon will appear in lower left corner to confirm selection.
• For specific emissivity and highest degree of temperature accuracy, use arrows
to change in 0.01 increments.
• Refer to emissivity table in product manual (Figure 2)
• Touch emissivity button to save and lock in selection

(G) Activates / deactivates the floating “hottest” and “coldest” temperature readings on the
screen (default setting on)
(H) Thermometer button allows user to adjust the high / low range of thermal readings
• Touch the thermometer and the High / Low temperature boxes become active buttons
(gray background indicates live buttons mode)
